Cash-back from participating merchants:
The easiest way to get cash back with your Card is at the places you already shop, like grocery and convenience stores.
Simply:
1. Select “Debit” on the keypad.
2. Enter your 4-digit PIN (Personal Identification Number).
3. Select “Yes” for cash-back.
4. Enter the amount and hit “OK”.
Cash from a bank:
Go to any participating bank, let the teller know you want to do an over-the-counter transaction and tell them the amount you would like to withdraw. You may be asked to show your ID. Find participating banks here. To get cash:
1. Know your balance beforehand by logging into your myWisely® account – the teller cannot tell how much money you have on your Card.
2. Ask the teller for the amount you would like to withdraw.
3. You’ll need your 4-digit PIN (Personal Identification Number) and may be asked for an additional form of Identification.
Your Wisely® card can be used to make either a debit or credit transaction.
Debit transactions will require a personal identification number (PIN) and are best used when you want cash back from a merchant. These transactions do not incur a fee.
Credit transactions do not require a PIN and do not incur a fee.6
Contact your biller/retailer for their direct bill payment options to see if they accept card payments.4

Of course! You, as the primary Wisely® member, can request up to 3 cards for your spouse or other family members. Wisely secondary cards can be used to make point-of-sale or purchases everywhere Visa® Debit cards or where debit MasterCard® are accepted. This eliminates the need to carry cash when grocery shopping, paying bills, going out to eat, and any other daily activities. Age limits may apply, please reference your Cardholder Agreement for more information.
To request a secondary card1:
1. Log in to your account at mywisely.com or the myWisely app.7
2. Click or tap the menu button in the upper left corner and scroll to the button at the bottom of this menu to add a card to your account.

You will need the new secondary member’s name, Social Security Number, and date of birth to request the card.
Secondary cards are mailed to the primary member’s address on file. Secondary members can update their address in the myWisely app7 or at mywisely.com after activation.

You can also set up email, push or text alerts,7 including low balance notifications at whatever amount you decide.7
It’s the amount of money that has been set aside for purchases made with your card, but has not yet been collected by the merchant.
Certain purchases (hotels, restaurants, car rentals, gas stations, etc.) require pre-authorization and may temporarily hold money from your card balance that would be greater than the actual purchase amount once the purchase is processed.
The money will be released, and your balance will be adjusted. Availability of the pre-authorized money could take up several days to be released into your card balance.
Gas Stations. When using your card at gas stations, it is best to prepay for the exact amount at the cashier. If you pay at the pump, a hold of up to $100 or more may be placed on your card. This hold may last up to 5 days. (Hold times may vary depending on the merchant.)
Restaurants. Restaurants may automatically add up to 25% or more to your bill to cover a tip. If you do not have a sufficient balance on your card to cover the amount, the transaction will be declined.
Hotels may place a hold on your account for your room reservation. It is typically released upon checkout but may last up to a couple of weeks.
Why does the pre-authorization hold times differ?

There are no overdraft fees22 because we will not allow you to overdraw your card.3

Just snap a photo of the bill, import an image of a paperless bill or search and add a new biller.

Your bill information is extracted from the photo of the bill you snapped or the image of the paperless bill you uploaded in the myWisely app7 and uses secure payment automation to complete your payment.
If payment cannot be made electronically, a check will be mailed to the biller on your behalf.

Cards can get lost or stolen so we grant one1 free card replacement for a lost/stolen primary or secondary card per calendar year.

A travel notice is an enhanced security measure that helps to protect you against fraud when using your Wisely by ADP® card while traveling outside of your home state and bordering state(s).
Your Wisely by ADP® card will work in your home state and any bordering state upon activation, however, if you travel beyond your area add a travel notice in order to avoid declines on your card.
It reduces the opportunity for out of state and international fraud.

It’s easy. Log into the myWisely app6 or mywisely.com to set up alerts to get notified when your tax refund arrives. You can check your balance, view transaction history, find nearby ATMs, see spending trends, and much more. You can access your card account online or from your phone.
Your tax refund will be added to your Wisely card as soon as your return is processed and completed by the IRS. However, our customer care team does not have information on when your tax refund will arrive. If everything has been entered correctly and the IRS accepts your tax returns, your refund will be loaded directly into your Wisely Pay account. To check the status of your refund, please visit the IRS website. The IRS website is updated once every 24 hours with information on the status of your tax refund.
Use your card for everyday purchases:
Once your refund is added to your Wisely card, you can use your card on the phone, online, or in any store everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted and where Debit Mastercard is accepted. You can also add your Wisely card to your mobile wallet. Pay with a single touch anywhere Apple Pay®, Samsung Pay® or Google Pay™ is accepted.
Paying bills:
You can pay merchants who accept Debit Visa or Mastercard. Contact your billers/retailers for their direct bill payment options as third-party fees may apply. You will also be able to use the services of a third-party bill pay4 provider by logging into your account on the myWisely mobile app.6 Please refer to the separate terms & conditions and fees pertinent to the bill payment service provider.
Recurring monthly payments (such as mobile phone):
Contact your biller/retailer for their direct bill payment options to see if they accept card payments. If they do, enter in your card information into the recurring billing payments form.
Yes, and it’s easy! Once your tax refund is added to your card, register or log into the myWisely mobile app6 or at mywisely.com. Tap or click “Future” and start saving.3
Unfortunately, you will need to have this information on-hand in order to request a Wisely® card for them.
Only the primary card member who requested the secondary card can transfer funds to the card.
To add funds:
1. Log in to your account at mywisely.com or the myWisely® app.7
2. Click or tap the move money button in the upper right corner.
3. Select Transfer Money.
4. Follow the screen instructions to complete your request.
To activate it and set a PIN (Personal Identification Number), the secondary member can use the myWisely® app7 or visit mywisely.com. The secondary member may also call to activate their card; Wisely Pay members: 1-866-313-6901, Wisely Direct members: 1-866-313-9029. You can locate the card type on back of the card in small print on the lower half. Secondary members will use their personal information, such as Social Security Number, to activate their Wisely card.
No. Only the primary member who requested the secondary card can transfer funds to the card.
Yes, the Wisely® card can be used everywhere Visa® Debit cards or where debit MasterCard® are accepted internationally. To use a Wisely Card for transactions outside the U.S., including U.S. territories, secondary members must set a travel notice in the myWisely app.7 Please refer to the Wisely List of All Fees for applicable usage fees.
Upon activation your card balance is FDIC insured up to the eligible amount through Fifth Third Bank, N.A., Member FDIC or Pathward®, N.A ., Member FDIC. Please log in to the myWisely app7 or mywisely.com to see your cardholder agreement for more information.
Early direct deposit14 allows Wisely® members to receive funds directly deposited up to 2 days earlier14 than the posted pay date and up to 4 days earlier14 for government benefits. In most cases, you will receive your funds early, but it may be less depending on when Wisely receives the payment instructions. Early access is dependent on when Wisely receives the submission file from the employer/payer. Wisely will post payroll as soon as we receive the file.
Be sure to opt-in to push or email notifications7 for direct deposits as a way to alert you as soon as your payroll deposit is processed.

There are a number of factors that could affect the timing of your early direct deposit.14 Your employer may have sent the payroll file later than usual or it may have been processed after the cutoff time. In most cases, you will receive pay up to 2 days early,14 or and up to 4 days earlier14 for government benefits, but it may be less depending on when we receive the payment instructions.
Yes, bank holidays could cause an impact on payday when it falls on a bank holiday. The pay file will be processed before or after the holiday dependent on when we receive payment instructions.
Please note the 11 bank holidays on which payments are not received by Wisely: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth National Independence Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
For holidays falling on Saturday, Federal Reserve Banks and Branches will be open the preceding Friday. For holidays falling on Sunday, Federal Reserve Banks and Branches will be closed the following Monday.
